Keeping you all in the loop

With Thomas and Sons WAY under bidding the veneer from Weed C. to the Roseburg area, we lost the haul that kept 6-7 trucks busy every day and drivers home every night.

Under my leadership, we decided to do everything we could to not lose a driver and remain earning a similar income.

We looked at the business as a whole and realized, finding local work for a couple flatbeds could be done fairly easy.

Then we looked and saw we are running 10 to 30 full time log truck gyppos every day. Today 15. We decided we could change 5 of our Weed trucks into updated log trucks. We already have the work. As a matter of fact, we routinely turn down work. I have lined up George, Ryan and Lance each to do their part to make this happen. Today we have one less log truck than we did in 1991 when I came to work here.

The shop is working on changing over #97 and #99 now. #50 is coming soon.

We really need these trucks running and producing. Bottom line is we need drivers for these trucks.

Please help us get the word out that we need good experienced drivers. This will get us through this time of change. We will come out the other side better off. I bet you Thomas and Son’s, can’t say the same.
