DVIR

Please remember to fill out your DVIR every single day, or every change in tractor if you change tractors several times in a shift. You are required to fill it out for your pre trip and post trip inspections. Talking to someone in the shop about a tractor or trailer issue does not get you out of filling out the DVIR. A shop employee might not be able to fix your issue right away, or they will forget because they have too many projects going on. By law you are required to document any and all defects. After you document it, the shop will let you know that the repairs have been made or if there is something we are waiting on to get it fixed and it will be written in the DVIR in your truck. If there are no issues, you are still required to fill one out, and you can write on it that there are no defects to report. Then turn it in to the drivers room wall. EVERY DAY.
