We try to be efficient as possible every day, that’s just what we do in trucking. Sometimes, we get in a hurry which is different than being efficient. When we get in a hurry, we forget to complete the entire process, we cut corners or we forget to check our work.
A couple of examples of this would be, forgetting to walk around the truck and inspect before taking off, filling out a delivery ticket but not writing down unit count. Unfortunately, both of these examples have the possibility of causing serious problems.
This time of year, when things are a little quieter than normal, it’s very important check our work, maybe, just one more time… because when we make a mistake or forget something, it is much more noticeable.
