We have noticed more hard braking and squealing tires when trucks pull into the yard. We understand that everyone is busy and trying to stay on schedule. However, it is important to remember that other businesses are nearby. There are also homes and school bus stops in the area. We need to be respectful and considerate of our neighbors.
I live on a street very similar to Merry Lane. There are no sidewalks and not much foot traffic, but people still live there. Sometimes drivers speed down the road like it is a drag strip. It can be very frustrating. Drivers may not realize it, but their actions affect the people who live nearby. Many of us have probably felt this way before.
The posted speed limit on Merry Lane between HWY 62 and the Martin Yard is 35 MPH. Please slow down as you approach and prepare to enter the yard. Once you turn off Merry Lane, the yard speed limit of 5 MPH applies. Thank you for helping keep our workplace and community safe.
