Quick reminder for everyone running haul roads.
There is no reason to fly up and down dirt roads. Take it nice and easy. These roads are rough, dusty, and sometimes narrow. Driving too fast just beats up the truck, beats up the road, and creates dust for everyone else.
Please also watch for watchmen and landowners along haul roads. When you pass houses, equipment, or people working, slow down and go by easy. They don’t want to get dusted out, and many of them have dogs and pets running around. We want to be respectful and keep good relationships with the people whose roads and property we use.
The number one complaint we get from loggers is trucks going too fast on dirt haul roads. That’s something we can control.
Slow on the haul roads.
Slow past houses and watchmen.
Keep the dust down.
Take care of the equipment.
We’re not racing. We’re working.
Thanks everyone.
