I posted about this not too long ago, but with the new drivers we’ve brought on, it’s worth another reminder.
Please keep your truck and work area clean.
This goes for both drivers and the shop. Leaving things laying around can turn into a safety issue. Hoses, tools, trash, or anything else in the way can cause someone to trip or get hurt.
Wrap up hoses and put them away
Throw your trash away
Keep your space clear and organized
Also, think about the next person. Nobody wants to climb into a truck for the day or work on it in the shop and have to move someone else’s garbage just to get started.
We have trash cans all around the yard, including at the fuel island, which every truck should be stopping at daily.
We also have a vacuum available for drivers at the blue warehouse in the back of the yard. Use it and keep your truck cleaned out.
This is basic stuff, but it matters. It keeps everyone safer and makes the job better for the next person.
