June 1st is here, and for many people it feels like the unofficial start of summer.
With warmer weather coming, here are a few simple reminders and tips to help everyone have a safe and enjoyable summer season:
- Stay hydrated. Especially for drivers, mechanics, and anyone working outside. Once you feel thirsty, you are already behind.
- Watch for motorcycles, kids, bicycles, and extra traffic. More people will be out enjoying the weather.
- Don’t leave soda, electronics, medications, pets, or children in a hot vehicle.
- Check your tires before road trips. Hot pavement and underinflated tires are not a good combination.
- Sunscreen is cheaper than skin cancer.
- Summer is a good time to slow down a little outside of work, and spend time with family and friends. BBQs, camping, lakes, rivers, and vacations always seem to go by too fast.
Hopefully everyone has a safe, fun, and relaxing summer ahead.
Drive safe and enjoy the weather while we have it.
