Now that we’re making a lot of trips to Brookings, I thought I’d remind you all—and maybe teach the new folks—our rule.
As you drive among the retired old folks, relax and nice them to death. When they irritate you, drive safely. Pass when it’s safe, and when you want to give them the bird… smile and wave instead. It’ll bother them even more!
Head over there expecting tourists. Use kindness to get you through it. You’ll be less tired and stressed when you get home after your shift if you smile all day instead of growling.
Also, please be as nice and accommodating as you can with our customers. Remember, all we have to sell is service, and you are on the front line.
Thanks, and have a safe trip!
