Our companies have a little unwritten policy: if someone does something that annoys you, NICE them to death. If you feel like flipping them the bird, instead, wave and smile as big as you can. It bothers them a lot more. Then just go about your day and forget about it—it will be more relaxing for you, too.
This really does work. Try it next time you are put in that situation. You’ll see.
