BOL’s

BOL’s, Bill of Lading. In transportation, anything we place in or on our trailers for a customer must have a Bill of Lading.

A Bill of Lading is simply a contract between the shipper and the carrier, a receipt for goods shipped and a document of title. Our customers require that the Bill of Lading is signed by the loader, driver, and the receiver… and yes, we have customers that will not pay the freight charges if those signatures are not on the BOL.

A few important features of a Bill of Lading is it will document where the load or product picked up, shippers name and address, it will show the name and address of the delivery, it will also include a description and quantity of the product.

Please take a moment, before you leave the shipper, to take a close look at the Bill of Lading to make sure that it is accurate. Ask yourself, does this match what dispatch told you? Is this where dispatch said it was going? If not, CALL DISPATCH!

A small mistake can be costly.
