Distracted Driving

By April 8, 2026Blog Posts

Distracted driving is when something takes your eyes, hands, or mind off the road. Even for a few seconds, distractions can cause serious accidents. Some common distractions are texting, talking on the phone, eating, adjusting the radio, or checking a GPS.

Texting while driving is especially dangerous. When you look at your phone, you might miss a car slowing down, a stop sign, or someone crossing the street. In just a few seconds, a car can travel far without you noticing.

To stay safe, try to keep your full attention on driving. Put your phone away, set up your GPS before you go, and avoid other distractions while behind the wheel.

Driving safely isn’t just about following the rules—it’s about caring for yourself and everyone else on the road. Staying alert can really save lives.
