Every Truck Needs a Paper Logbook — It’s the Law

At F.V. Martin Trucking, safety and compliance come first. One important rule is making sure every truck has a paper logbook inside at all times.

Even if you are using an electronic logging device (ELD), you must still have a paper logbook available. This isn’t just company policy — it’s required by law. If the ELD has a problem or breaks down, you need the paper logs ready so you can stay legal and avoid major fines.

Before you leave the yard or start your day, double-check that your logbook is in the truck. It’s a small thing that can save a lot of trouble later.

And while you’re checking your logbook, don’t forget to buckle up. A seatbelt is one of the simplest and strongest ways to stay safe on the road.

At F.V. Martin Trucking, we all work together to protect each other, our company, and the people sharing the road with us. Stay safe out there!
