With the loss of the Roseburg/ Weed haul, our revenue source took a big hit. And honestly, the fact that we got under bid play’s no part in this. RFP closed Weed plant altogether anyway. This company was used to the big revenue to help pay for the overhead. In trucking a lot is based on per mile. With the loss of those trucks running day and night shifts. Now, we must spread that overhead cost over far less miles,
As President of this company. I am asking for your help to get through these tight times. Don’t idle your truck more than absolutely necessary. Do your job swiftly and safely. Do your equipment checks often and through so we don’t have on the road breakdowns. They are far more costly.
Shop guys. Do your work in a timely manner and move on to the next job. I’m not saying anyone is doing something wrong now. I’m asking people to tighten things up and save us money.
Help us fill our empty seats. We bring in revenue by running our trucks. They all need to run to spread our expenses out over more miles. Drivers, do not stand and BS with mechanics. That means your truck isn’t rolling and his wrench isn’t turning all at the same time. We need to cut down on any wasted time.
We have good people running the outfit. We have great employees. We just need to adjust to our new revenue standards. I’m asking for everyone’s help. We need to tighten our belts somewhere.
Thank you for your attention to this matter.
