Headlights

There has been a noticeable increase in Martin Trucks driving without headlights. Company policy is that headlights are to be in use at all times. This means that unless the truck is parked and turned off, the headlights should be on.

Headlights are crucial for vehicle safety, ensuring visibility during low-light conditions such as nighttime, fog, or rain. Properly functioning headlights help drivers see the road, obstacles, and other vehicles, while also making the vehicle visible to others. It’s important to regularly check and maintain headlights to avoid issues like dimming or misalignment, which can compromise safety. If you are having issues with the headlights on the truck, write it on your DVIR so the shop can look into it. Drivers should also use headlights appropriately—turning them on in low visibility conditions and switching between high and low beams as needed to avoid blinding other drivers. Ensuring headlights are clean and bright enhances both personal and road safety for everyone.
