Heat exhaustion happens when your body overheats from being in high temperatures, especially with humidity. It can leave you feeling weak, dizzy, sweaty, and even nauseous, sometimes accompanied by muscle cramps or a headache. If you notice these signs, it’s important to act quickly—move to a cooler area, drink water, and rest. If ignored, it could turn into heat stroke, which is much more serious.

To prevent heat exhaustion, wear light, breathable clothing, stay hydrated, and take breaks in the shade or air conditioning. Be extra cautious if you’re working or exercising in the heat, and listen to your body.
