It’s getting toasty out there! 🥵☀️ It’s also that time of year again when we’d like to remind people to not leave your dogs in a hot car. Temperatures can rise within minutes, putting your pet at risk.
A common question we get is what you can do in these situations. Here are some options:
🚗 If the car is near a business, contact management and ask to have the owner paged.
🐶 Monitor the dog to see if it’s in obvious distress from the heat. If unable to contact the owner, call dispatch at 541-770-4783.
🔨 Breaking a window would only be the very last option and its best to let us have that responsibility.
Let’s keep our furry loved ones safe.
