As we complete the ninth year of ownership of all three companies, we hope you all agree there has been a positive difference.
The most noticeable is the newer equipment. But there has been a lot more than that. We started with several wage increases. The physical properties we work in have been upgraded and made more appealing to see. We started allowing working remotely. We have added a lot of contract work.
We rebuilt the driver’s room and made a mechanics lunch and looker room. At AFI we went to a web-based dispatch system. We have hired good mechanics that can do some of the more difficult stuff that we used to sub out.
All though we are sad Stew is leaving us here at FV Martin, I think the return of George is as good as we could have asked for. I think Ryan is doing a wonderful job replacing me dispatching the log trucks, Trace is still doing a fantastic job running Martin Transportation Co., Dave has gotten AFI running smoothly and Lance has stepped up to run the shop great.
Sheri and I hope we have made all of your jobs better. Our goal stays the same. We want to have the best transportation company in Southern Oregon to work for. No matter what your position with any of the companies is.
From the Hutchens Family to yours, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. We thank you all.
Don’t forget on New Year’s Day to watch the Oregon Ducks play in the Grand Daddy of them all, The Rose Bowl and while you’re watching it, look in the crowd to see if you can find Ryan and I. We will be the ones in green and yellow screaming for my Ducks.
