If you are not familiar with automatic slack adjusters or if want a refresher course on how to adjust automatic slack adjusters, please stop by the shop and ask one of the mechanics. We built a brake demonstration stand to help everyone become knowledgeable in adjusting brakes. We have also equipped zip ties to the brake push-rod for a visual aid in checking your brake adjustment. Steer axle and lift axle brake push-rod travel never exceed 1 ½ inches, while driver and trailer brake push rod travel should always be less that 2 inches.
