As everyone should know, there is a major importance to checking your tires throughout your day.
There are many opportunities to do these checks, for example while you are at the log yard before you put your trailer back onto the truck. Another good time for all drivers to check tires would be before going through a scale. Going through the scale with any mechanical issues, including tire issues puts a bad mark on the company and potentially out of service. Fixing a tire before going through a scale is cheaper than fixing the tire and paying the citation that you get for having mechanical issues.
