It appears that the season has finally changed and winter is up on us. Hopefully everyone has checked out their tire chains and everything is in good order. However, if you have not seen prior notices or are a great procrastinator, now is the time to inspect your tire chains and gear. Every truck should be equipped with one set of three railers, and two sets of singles, along with tire chain spiders or bungy cords. Some highway equipment may have a set of singles hanging on the trailer. Know the state requirements for chains when chains are required. Keep in mind, if you are caught without chains on when required, you will be sited and fined by the state.
