The following are driving behaviors or situations that “stood out” from the norm. Not all violations listed below necessarily results in a citation, but will be a reason for a traffic stop and a possible warning. Many of the violation warnings will be evaluated in FVCSA’s safety measurement systems.

  2. Speeding
  3. Lane deviations
  4. Inattentiveness
  5. Improper load securement
  6. Use of handheld phone
  7. Lighting violations
  8. Improper registration or credential display
  9. Improper weight distribution (Overweight)
