Glad to say the brake adjustment inspections are going well and in the short period of time we have been doing inspections, the amount of Out of Service Citations have been reduced by 75%. Keep in mind, this doesn’t relieve the driver of the responsibility of doing brake inspections and maintaining proper brake adjustment. In addition to brake adjustment inspections, tire pressure checks are completed the same time brake adjustment is checked. Keep in mind, as a driver, you may pick up a nail, screw or any other sharp device that can cause a low or flat tire. Please thump your tires on a regular basis, and especially before entering a weigh station or inspection station.
