Does everyone realize how valuable an employee is when they are capable of doing varying tasks and jobs? Supervisors all around are more than willing to keep everyone as busy as possible, but honestly, not everyone is capable of doing specific jobs. If you are an all-around employee that can “do-all,” you may be working before someone with seniority ahead of you. If someone calls in sick, but you are capable to do any job, you also may be asked to fill in for that job. These are all awesome traits that an employee can have. So, be flexible and learn what your co-workers are doing. If you would like to learn, all you have to do is ask.
