Fourth of July Holiday Reminder

By June 29, 2026Blog Posts

This is a reminder that the office will be closed on Friday, July 3rd, in observance of the Independence Day holiday.

Log Truck Drivers: All log truck operations will be off for the day.

Flatbed & Highway Drivers: There will be a limited number of loads available. Please get with your supervisor if you are interested in working.

This year is especially meaningful as our nation celebrates the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence. It is a chance to reflect on the sacrifices made by those who fought for our freedom and by the many others who supported the cause behind the scenes.

I recently learned that one of my own ancestors, Strangeman Hutchins, helped provide food to the Continental Army during the American Revolution. While he wasn’t on the battlefield, he played a small part in supporting the men who were. It’s a reminder that our country’s founding was made possible by countless individuals, each contributing in their own way.

As you celebrate this Independence Day, take a moment to appreciate the freedoms we enjoy because of those who came before us.

We hope everyone has a safe and enjoyable Fourth of July weekend with family and friends. If you’ll be traveling, please drive safely, and if you’re celebrating with fireworks, please use them responsibly.

Happy Fourth of July!
