On my Tuesday blog report, I want to add just a little to Phil’s and Ryan’s.
Safety
After 35 years of attending Accident Review Board meetings, the number one cause of accidents that I recall is driver complacency. Drivers get a little too comfortable, forget the little things, or simply miss one step.
Driving the equipment you folks drive requires your full attention. Pay attention to the little things just as much as the big things.
Something Else to Keep in Mind
We still need one local night-shift driver. You must have a doubles endorsement.
We could also use a floater—someone who can fill in when another driver is on PTO. Maybe a retired guy who just wants more money and less wife.
We could also use 1–2 more log truck drivers. Maybe a third when Ryan gets all of his trucks back up and running.
