Load Securement

Load securement is always the driver’s responsibility. This is just one of the many aspects of your job you have complete control over.

Please remember to stop and check your load securement within the first 50 miles of starting a trip. LOG IT IN E ROADS as a “Load Check”.

If straps are fluttering- stop and check. If binders are not all in line stop and check. Is your dunnage, ladder, and tarps well secured? If your trailer is decked, do you have the safety strap/chain hooked up?

If you have an open weigh station / scale coming up, take a minute or two and stop to check your load, tires, and lights. If you find an issue you can’t fix, call the shop. Please don’t just go through the scale hoping you will get a pass!
