I was reminded the other day about one of Floyd’s methods of handling other people. It is one of what, I call, “Martin-ism’s.” Things he taught me over the years.
I would get really upset at an employee or customer and want to blow up, I would go into Floyd’s office and explain the situation. He would say, “Troy, nice them to death. When people are upset with you, they hate it when you’re nice.”
I tried it, and not only was he correct, I got results. This not only worked for me at the office, but driving, or at home with the Mrs. I’m telling all of you, it works. Give it a try.
