We have had a couple drivers go out without checking their load securement devices on their pretrip. Then they get to the mill or the landing and they realize they only have a couple straps or a couple wrappers. Please make sure you are checking your straps, wrappers and other devices made to secure your freight during your pretrip inspection. Also, remember, checking oil, water and fuel is part of it. Just last week a driver had to take their truck to the dealership to get worked on and didn’t fuel up at night. It wasn’t until mid-day they realized the only had a half tank.
Please make sure you are doing a proper pretrip and post trip inspection.
