Lately, we’ve seen a growing number of heater and defrost problems—especially in our newer trucks. These trucks have advanced systems with multiple doors inside the dashboard that direct air and heat to different areas.
The main issue? Small objects like pens, pencils, and air freshener sticks are falling into the defrost vents. Once inside, these items can block airflow and cause the system to stop working properly. Fixing the problem is no small task—it often requires taking apart a large portion of the dashboard, which can take a lot of time.
To help prevent this, please be careful not to leave loose items near the vents. Even something small can cause a big problem.
Taking a few seconds to double-check now can save hours of repair time later.
