September 11th — 25 Years Later

Today marks 25 years since the attacks of September 11, 2001.

Nearly 3,000 people lost their lives that day. They were people who went to work that morning, boarded an airplane, responded to an emergency, or simply started what they thought would be another ordinary day.

Today, we remember them.

We also remember the firefighters, police officers, paramedics, military members, and ordinary citizens who ran toward danger to help others. In one of our country’s darkest moments, we saw incredible examples of courage, sacrifice, and people helping one another.

Twenty-five years is a long time. Many people working today weren’t even alive on September 11, 2001. For those of us who were, it’s a day we will never forget.

Please take a moment today to remember the lives that were lost, the families who were forever changed, and those who answered the call to help.

We will never forget.
